“I think you’ll be surprised as far as how you can get clients once you have the confidence to assert that you know what you’re doing and that you have these skills that you want to offer people.”
Today I am continuing my conversation with Erica Blair; a Social Media Marketing Strategist that has lived abroad for a total of almost six years and is currently living in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
We talk about a variety of methods she’s used over the years to earn money while living abroad and traveling.
“It was a great experience getting to learn the ropes and getting to really trust my entrepreneurial spirit and see that I could make my money and make a business off of my own efforts and ideas.” – Erica Blair
We also talk about the evolution of how she’s gotten clients and why, unlike a lot of other entrepreneurs, she doesn’t recommend starting a website as being the first step for a new business.
“We’re not necessarily going around the internet browsing websites anymore.” – Erica Blair
Erica dives into great detail about which social media platform she thinks is “the new rising star” of professional networking and marketing and the ever-changing ways to utilize Facebook.
“I think we’re going to look back on 2016 as a turning point in the way that personal profiles are used.” – Erica Blair
She also provides some great resources and advice for someone wanting to start a location independent business.
“If you’re not doing something that inspires you, that makes you feel passionate, that actually works with your strengths, then it’s going to be like nails on a chalkboard doing the work.” – Erica Blair
