Episode 076: Nomadic Couplepreneurs – Part 2

“We wanted to flee our own business.”

Today I am continuing my conversation with Nick and Gen from The Great Anomaly.

We talk about how their first online venture, Nick and Gen’s Healthy Life, quickly found financial success but left them feeling unfulfilled after they lost their passion for the work.

“All of the sudden you accept that you’re in this victim position. The business is running me. I’m not running the business.” – Nick

They decided to change things up by putting their lifestyle first and transitioned into the life a nomad. This change helped them not only find their passion again for their original business, but inspired them to begin a new venture helping other couplepreneurs find new ways of working together.

“If you forget about you in the process, the business will just turn into this, kind of, super hungry monster that will just eat up every hour and energy volt that you have.” – Gen

Take a listen to today’s episode to find out about that journey, how they use social media hashtags in the hiring process for new members of their team, why they’ve switched to a 4-day work week, and why failing is just part of the journey.

“Don’t be afraid to fail because this is how you learn.” – Gen
