Episode 055: Laptop Lifestyle – Part 1

“I’ve learned how to run an entire business from my laptop.”

In part 1 of my interview with Mari Conner, from Marigold Marketing Group and LaptopPreneur, we talk about how growing up in a military family taught her to love travel from a very young age.

“I tell people that I’ve seen more battlefields in Europe than the average American female ever should.” – Mari Conner

We also talk about ways to incorporate travel into your life before you’re ready to make the big leap to traveling internationally.

“It’s important to have those smaller experiences because you’ll see that the world doesn’t fall apart.” – Mari Conner

Some other topics discussed are the apps and websites she uses for her frequent travels and why she prefers to stay with friends rather than hotels.

“It’s of no use to me to be somewhere extremely beautiful and to not have an experience to go along with it.” – Mari Conner

Lastly we talk about her most intimidating and scary travel moments that left her tears at a train station in former Communist country where she didn’t speak the language.

“It’s one of those moments where you’re just there with yourself. The only person that can save you, is you.” – Mari Conner
