“If you want to go on the most intense spiritual journey of your entire life, start a business.”
In today’s episode I continue my conversation with Mari Conner; a Facebook marketing expert and self-proclaimed LaptopPreneur. We go into more detail about how traveling, especially alone, has held her gain valuable skills that she has used to create a 6-figure location independent business.
“My business sense is always pretty on-point and I knew that Facebook was going to be something that I could leverage into a business and so, basically, I did.” – Mari Conner
We also talk about how she went from having a breakdown in a coffee shop while talking to her mentor about starting a business; something she had absolutely no clue how to do at the time.
“He said, ‘You have to jump out the window, but I can’t push you out the window.’” – Mari Conner
During our talk she dropped lots of value bombs; one of which is why she says not to charge hourly rates for your services and explained what exactly a “Fuck You Rate” is. Lastly, we talked about how she pushes through the inevitable lows that come along with building your own business.
“Typing a comment is not the same as a verbal exchange; which is why podcasts are so great.” – Mari Conner
