Episode 119: Summiting Everest & Other Adventures – Part 2

Living Unconventionally Podcast Britany Felix

Cathy O’Dowd was a member of the first South Africa Everest expedition, summited Mount Everest multiple times, set the record as the first woman ever to summit Everest from both the North and South sides of the mountain, and she was also on the mountain during the infamous and tragic 1996 storm that took the lives of several people and inspired the book Into Thin Air and the movie Everest.

Today we talk about how to fund adventure travel; including sponsorships and grants. She also provides some resources to help you start doing the research and skill-building now so you’re able to seize adventure opportunities as they come in the future.
