Episode 107: Hostel Geeks – Part 1

Living Unconventionally Podcast Britany Felix
“I think that was moment I realize I’m really fascinated by everything which I do not know.”

This week’s guest is Matt Kiefer from Hostel Geeks and we talk all about his location independent lifestyle; include both the fun parts and the challenges.

“Once you’re in it a couple of days, or a week or two, you know what you suddenly really need and what you just think you need.” – Matt Kiefer

While originally from Germany, Matt has family in France and has spent an extensive amount of time there. In fact, when we recorded this interview he was in a town just outside of Strasbourg, France. We talk about France in general and the city there that is actually his second favorite city in the entire world (Hint: It’s definitely not Paris!).

“That’s the funny thing about France, every single corner is gorgeous and very different.” – Matt Kiefer

We also talk about the things he does to prevent himself from being a victim of theft or scams when he travels to a new location, an unsettling experience he had in Jericho, the past winter he spent in the Canary Islands, his plans for the future, his advice for anyone wanting to transition to a location independent lifestyle and much more!

“Now that we are on the road, it’s freeing.” – Matt Kiefer
